Along with his job,Raj also evangelizes, operates a tract distribution center and other outreach missions. Raj has a zeal to do full time work for the Lord but due to their financial situation he is doing work for the Lord along with his full-time job. Raj always trys to maintain a Christ centered family. Raj is carrying the Word to non-Christians in his province and encouraging other Christians to share their faith with others. Nine out of ten Indian Christians are not sharing their faith. As a result, the percentage of Christians in India is just 2.5% at this time.

Vijaya Ruth was born to Pastor and Bishop David Raju on December 28th,1980. She was raised in Narsapur, West Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh, India. She did her schooling and college education in the same place. She has Bachelors Degrees in History, Economics, and Civics. She also has a Masters Degree in English Literature. She uses that Masters Degree to translate Pastor Ray's articles on the Revelation Of Jesus Christ into Telugu, the native language of the Andhra Pradesh Province. She was born into a Christian family with a Pentecostal background, and participated in all the activities of the church. Her parents have their own ministry in the same city. After completion of her education she was married to Mani Ratna Raj on June 19th, 2003.

Ruth and Raj have one son who is 2 years named David Nikhil. Ruth is also currently pregnant and expecting their second child as of the writing of this article. Both dedicated their lives to the Lord and decided to enter the ministry. They started Good Samaritan Ministry in a place called Tanuku. They started the ministry by doing door to door evangelism, going to the outlying villages and spending time with people there and slowly sharing their faith to both Christians and non-Christians . As they did their evangelistic outreaches, they saw many children on the streets begging and crying, dying of starvation. They prayed to God, asking for a way to help these poor children. God answered their prayers and they brought a few children into their home and gave them food, clothing and shelter. Within one year the number of children had grown into the 30's and by 2006 there were 50 children in the orphanage. The place where they lived was not sufficient to house all the children. Ruth and her husband searched many places and at last God showed them the city of Narsapur. They rented a building and started a children's home which they called Good Samaritan Childrens Home.

Ruth was also concerned about the poor widows. When she went to the villages she saw the terrible life of widows. Many there were neglected even by their own children. She also brought 6 widows into their home and took care of them, cooking for them, cleaning their rooms, and teaching them the Bible. Eventually their financial situation made it impossible to continue to support the widows. Of those 6, three have died and Ruth still visits the remaining widows and helps them when ever she can with financial support. She takes care of the Childrens Home when Raj goes to do evangelistic work. She cooks for 50 children and teaches them their school and about the Bible. She also conducts VBS (Vocational Bible Classes) during holidays. At present only 50 children can be accommodated in their home. Ruth's desire is to bring in more children who are suffering and give them food and clothing and shelter and bring many widows to the Home, but their current financial situation does not allow them to expand the ministry. Please keep praying for this ministry.

To send financial support to Ruth and Raj, simply contact Pastor Ray Young at The Fellowship @ River's Edge. He can provide you with instructions on how to use Western Union to send help directly, or the church can accumulate donations and send the money for you. Since Western Union India has a rule that any individual can only receive 12 money transfers in a calendar year, it is more advantageous to Ruth and Raj to allow River's Edge to accumulate the funds and transmit them monthly to GSM.
