ATTENDANCE
You are expected to attend all
the classes for the subject(s) in which you are enrolled. Unexcused
absence from more than 25% of the classes for a subject will
result in forfeiture of all credit for that subject. An exception
to the 25% rule may be made if your absence is due to acceptable
reasons, and if you are able to satisfy the requirements for
that subject (e.g. by completing additional assignments and/or
field work). Granting or refusing this privilege will be at
the instructor's discretion.
It is the student's responsibility,
if classes are missed, to contact the instructor and to arrange
any make-up work that may be required, also to obtain from the
office any missed examination papers, notice forms, etc. Please
note that it is not the instructor's responsibility to see that
you receive any missed paper, or to contact you about make-up
work.
TARDINESS
Students who are more than 10
minutes late for class will be marked as having missed 30 minutes.
If the number of half-hours missed in any subject equals 25%
of the required hours, then all credit will be forfeited. In
any subject, you must be present for at least 75% of the full
lecture time in order to obtain credit.
ASSIGNMENTS
Various assignments will be
set for students, depending on the course the student is enrolled
in. Assignments may take the form of essays, questions to be
answered, multiple-choice tests, fieldwork, local church activities,
etc.
All assignments must be completed
by the set date. If that is impossible for genuine reasons,
an alternative arrangement must be made with the lecturer concerned.
Late assignments will be subject to penalty.
